Tagging
Instructions:
You
must follow instructions in order to get full credit
for your sale!!!

Use the provided template. You must print your template
out on cardstock only (readily available and fairly
inexpensive). DO NOT use regular paper for your templates!
The tags will pull off from the pins if it isn't done
on cardstock!
Attach card with a safety pin to the upper right
corner on the front of the item. (Do not use straight
pins.) ** If you have a clothing item made of material
that a pin should not go through, if possible tag your
item with a pin through the sizing tag in the neckline
or through a seam.
Orient the card vertically/up and down. During
check-out, scissors will cut the cards off below the
pin, leaving the top portion of the card and the safety
pin in the garment.
Price items in $.50 increments. (A general rule
on pricing is 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price, if the
items are in good condition.)
Place ALL of your CLOTHING items on hangers.
We are not particular on what kind of hanger you used.
As long as it functions properly and your clothes aren't
falling off the hangers, we are okay with your choice
in what kind of hanger used.
All hangers should face LEFT (like a question
mark) when viewing the front of the garment.
Secure 2-piece outfits by pinning the pants/skirt to
the back of the top of the shirt, using the hanger as
support. DO NOT pin pants to the back of the shirts
without the support of the hanger, as this will
cause HOLES to form in your clothes! Safety pin all
outfits together.
If you want to DONATE items, add a "-D"
to your consignor number, and then CIRCLE your consignor
number on the item(s) you wish to donate. PLEASE
consider donating all of your left-over preemie clothing,
especially onesies! These pieces of clothing are donated
to the Huntsville Hospital NICU. They are very needed
and very welcomed.
Items must be clean and in good condition. Please
do not send items that are soiled, broken, missing parts,
or are out of season. If these types of items are found
during the sale, they will be removed from the sale
floor and not returned to you. (Chairpersons and club
officers reserve the right to refuse any items.)
All items that require batteries MUST have batteries
already installed! Toys will be tested and those without
batteries and those that are not working may not
be returned to you.
Bag multiple piece items together such as socks,
bibs etc. in a Sandwich or zip-lock type bag. The price
tag should be taped to the outside of the bag in such
a way that the tag can be cut ABOVE your consignor number.
Shoes should be bagged together with the tag taped/pinned
to the bag (Sandwich or zip-lock type bag). If shoes
can be tied together so they don't separate from each
other, you are allowed to do that (without having to
put them in a bag) as long as you still have a place
to secure the tag to the item. The price tag should
be taped to the outside of the bag in such a way that
the tag can be cut ABOVE your consignor number.
For **large and
bagged items, TAPE or PIN your index card to the OUTSIDE
of the bag. **Please
notify the MOMs Mart co-chairs if you plan to bring
large items (i.e. Pack n' Plays, Strollers, Cribs, High
Chairs, Furniture, etc.) so enough space is allocated
during set-up of the sale.
DO
NOT change prices on tags! You must make a NEW TAG
when changing the price on an item.
HALF
PRICE SALE INFORMATION:
During the last hour of the sale on Saturday we
will allow items to be sold at 1/2 price. Only prices
marked in RED will
be reduced. If you wish to let your items sell for
1/2 price, please mark the price in RED.
IF YOU WISH TO SELL YOUR ITEMS IN THE 1/2 OFF SALE,
THEY MUST BE PRICED IN $0.50 INCREMENTS SO THAT THE
MARKDOWN WILL BE SIMPLE.
It
is suggested that you make a new tag for 50% off items,
because it lessens the chance of fraud. If you choose
to write in red over an old number to make it a 1/2
price sale item, you accept the chances that someone
could have changed the price on the sales floor. If
you want to be on the safe side, WRITE A NEW TAG, and
use a red pen for marking the price of the item. MOMsMart
is not responsible for tags that come in with red over
blue/black ink to make a sale priced item.
